My 26 foot front sleeper Weekend Warrior was stolen from a secure yard in Riverside sometme during the night of March 19. License number is 1JT9193, Vin is 1W9FF26262C114277. Unfortunately, my un-insured sand rail was in it - 133 inch Sand Cars Frame, purple with purple panels - flames and checkered flag by Dick Vale, with STC Motorsports scripted on them. Car had a turbo'd, injected 13b by Redline. I would definitely appreciate any feedback on persons knowing of, or hearing about someone trying to sell either of these. Please e-mail at tvedova@hermanweissker.com, or call my cell at (909) 640-0696.

Ok, I've been seeing these posts get more and more numerous. First there was a huge crime wave in Phoenix, now Riverside...

Our hobby isn't so big that we couldn't figure out who the yahoos are that are buying this stuff... Obviously this stuff is being stolen and then parted and sold to some looser who is probably putting a premium markup on it and selling it back to US!

WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ABOUT THIS?

Anyone got any ideas?

It sucks!

VOR,
The best thing we can all do is to not buy anything from someone if we suspect/know it's stolen. Dry up the market for stolen goods.
Thieves suck. They've taken several car stereos and one really nice hotrod stepside from me. Now, my motorhome/trailer/toys are guarded by a Rotty that'll bite first and ask questions later.

WELL YA SEE- IVE BEEN THINKIN, I FIGURE IF YA GO PLACE A TRAILER OUT BY KENNIE AND BERTS NEIGHBORHOOD, RIG THE DOOR WITH A FEW STICKS OF DYNAMITE, THE PROBLEM WILL CURE ITSELF. user posted image

Hey Washroad- Had someone "try" and steal the Trailer & Toys from the house one night (can you believe the boldness- we were home).....and our faithful pets (a Rott and a shepherd) kept him company while he had to call on his STOLEN cell phone for help to get him away from the dogs after they took a few pounds of flesh.....BTW- his buddies left him for dead after they heard the dogs!
Better than any alarm systems I've ever had!

My friends trailer got stolen last night! It was in SanDiego(pacific beach) and when he woke up it was gone! There were no bikes or buggy in it but about $6500 worth of stuff gone! A neighbor got the lic plate number and the fiveO is out looking for that dirt bag!

I tell you what; i curse the day that we have to bring guns to the dunes just to keep your **** from being stolen. Or is that day all ready here… user posted image

A buddy had someone try to grab his truck in the early A.M. a while back. He chased them down and almost had the last guy as he reached their buddies in the getaway car. Then the guy stops, turns, and levels what I'm sure by now was a cannon at him. Be careful. Stuff that sits in my driveway has one visual lock on it and is also literaly chained to the concrete. I get lazy about crawling under there to chain it down but then I hear these stories and get back in the habit!
Washroad
Her454,
Yeah, my backyard is on a main street, some guy was coming over the wall at 4am. The Rotty and the little female shepard kept him pinned until the police arrived! It was great! He was yelling and screaming! His car was parked behind my house and was full of stuff he had been stealing throughout the area! When the police arrived, I kept them in the house for a couple of minutes so they could watch the dogs try to eat the guy! They almost busted up laughing.

Seriously now,
If you know stuff is stolen, or even suspect it is, don't buy it!
DUNE
Yeah what Washroad said. Don't buy it, call a cop instead.

Start cursing. I lock ALL my stuff up to slow 'em down, always bring a dog to wake me up, and sleep with a weapon in easy reach. Like Jumpnbean said, it's nice to have one when you need one. Remember last season when that gang of punks ran roughshod on Gecko with baseball bats, beating people for no reason? That's no time for debate about the virtues of victim disarmament.

One of the funniest things about liberals is that they seem incapable of imaginative thought and cannot conceive of anything beyond the here and now. Liberals, safely ensconced at Starbucks with a police station down the street, will rail for hours against guns and people who own them but the first time you take them camping on a foggy mountain or find yourself getting the eye from a bunch of punks in a bad part of town, the question is always the same. "Have you got your gun?"

The stressed, plaintive look on their faces makes me chuckle.

A while back my brother had a portable CD player stolen out of his truck. The scary thing was that the crooks unlocked the door like pro's but only stole the CD player. This lead us to believe it was a couple kids because they left about $600 worth of stereo equipment (subs, amp, ECT). We figured since the truck was in an area were no one could see it they were not scared off, they just were to young to know what the subs and amps were or what they were worth. These people start young.
