how do you put in your own?

M its just like putting in a picture have the image stored on the net somwhere when you go to choose your avtar there is a button on the right side that says something bout using one from a URL just use that put in the URL hit on select and you should be good to go....

Go to "Edit Profile" and select the "Select a different Avatar image" link...

Near the bottom of the screen that pops up (that has all the stock avatars) is a place to type in a URL...

Type in the URL of the picture you want to use... (make sure the size is no bigger than 98 x 98 please) and then click the "Set URL" button... Look near the top of the same page and you should see your avatar in the upper left. Select "Select this avatar" and the page will go away, you'll be back in your profile, you'll see your new avatar in your profile, and your avatar will be added to ALL YOUR PREVIOUS POSTS, and any new ones!

That's all there is to it!

Hey VOR,
you know if SWF will work as an Avatar?

I do not believe SWF will work as an avatar.

I could be wrong... That's a video format, though, isn't it?

No can do. I have to be able to insert html object code and well, that is just not allowed to happen. I made my fish turn colors and get all funky.
Oh well. might check out the ani gif.

Yeah Brian, I want mine a little smaller too... She keeps complaining...

I tried resizing yours and it becomes impossible to read.
I suggest you make another one with fewer graphics and simple, to the point, print for your Avatar and use that one in the signature!

yeah Sanduners mine too.

So we do it twice and I hit her over the head with a brick.
