sorry for posting a thing like this again but what would be a better bike for me, im 15 kinda heavy, i live by alot of dirt areas that i can ride and but i go to the dunes alot too but not as much as the dirt, sometimes after school i go riding with my friends in the dirt areas by our house not really in to mx just jumpin and having a nice ride but when i do go to glamis i like to drag up olds and dune ride.


also would a honda with a pipe and the HRC kit beat a stock yfz? thanks and sorry again

i think that a honda with a cam and pipe will beat a stock YFZ

your better off flipping a coin. just ride both of them, whichever one you like get. unless your a serious racer when you go out to olds, it shouldnt matter.

i have ridden them both i just cant decide! there performance is really close and i was gonna get the special edition yfz if i did get it but idk my homie took off his trx's from fenders and it looks sweet i rode it at glamis and got wooped by a yfz then raced him again and got even also beat a banshee, i pull 2nd on his bike up olds....do u think with the hrc ill be able to pull 3rd

i have the hrc kit and can pull a very strong 3rd, and a lot of times pull 4th.

i dunno what your thinkin bro, i have a 400 EX with a pipe, filter, rev kit, and a 13t front sprocket. i can pull 3rd all the way up the hill. im 6'4 280 soaking wet. i GUARANTEE you that a 450r and or a YFZ has WAYYYYY more balls than this bike. sooooo, im at a loss to say. so i dont know, i mean, my stock 400 with paddles would pull 2nd up the hill.

does he even have paddles, or is he running knobbies.

the problems with questions like these, and im not trying to bash you or anything, but if finding a stock YFZ.....or 250r or 450r or banshee. the truly rare bikes out there are the stock ones and this goes x10 for glamis land of endless credit.

i just dont want you to get your hopes up because ive seen a total of about 1-2 stock yfz's on new years weekend alone and they werent interested in racing anyone.

you cant go wrong with either bikes. things have a changed a lot from the old days. everyone's work is pretty decent.

i did hrc kit with the wb e2 slip on. made a huge difference, has a lot of top end

I say the kid is full of crap. If you want the fastest quad there is no doubt YFZ. Put another 1.5K into the Honda. I can put 350 into the YFZ and it will be faster than the Honda.

Its all about the rider, if the other rider cant ride then you have nothing to worry about,

it all depends on what ya want to do most, are you an agressive, huge air, hill shooter? or are you a dune cruiser, occasional air, and like going up the hills?

im just saying this because the 450r id say isnt as fast as a yfz, but it is more comfortable, except its kick, but i think the kick is easy,

you really dont need to get one of those, get a new 05' z400, it killed the competition, best 400 out ther, the 05' has a new cam, bigger high tech carb, new magnesium covers, aluminum bumper and grab bar, and also new front rezzies

oh and i think the 450r is alot like the Z, well the size, the yfz feels, IMO, a little small, but when i sit on the 450r it feels alot like my Z

kid, just go to glamis, wait on the right side of olds, when you see a banshee with 3 big giant pipes comming out, stop him, and ask how much. pull out your checkbook, and be done with it.

Since he was talking about the difference between 2 quads. Just maybe you could have read between the lines and seen that I was infereing between those 2 quads. The fastest of those 2 since he was talking about an HRC kit in the Honda.
