Hopefully, I had to miss this weekend, (no car still) but depending on when it is ready I should be heading out there late next week, and I might "forget" to come home for awhile. also depends if I have someone to hang out with.

I'm hoping to make it out at least for a saturday day run. I'm hurting for some sand BAD. Last trip out was T-day (well, I did have a quick day in December driving the Biologists around but I didn't get to do much duning and did some temporary damage to my motor.)
But T-day I didn't get to do much duning because my GF was feeling sick. Last trip I got to do any substantial duning on was back in early October! I went from making it out 5 out of 6 weeks leading up to Halloween to not making it out despite my rail finally being reliable

Just had some real busy weekends and illnesses that have cramped my dune style big time! If I don't get out next weekend I may hurt someone

I'll be there 21-23 with a large group out on the flats at Gordon's. Trying to regain some dignitiy from all the 4 strokes that spanked me last weekend at Glamis.

There was a 100lbs female on a stock YFZ with paddles that was never over a half a bike length behind me up comp.

Finally got the new car home!

I am planning to go this Saturday for a day trip to break in the new ride. Didn't go this weekend since none of my usual group went and didn't want to have to try and get the buggy back on the trailer all by myself if something went wrong.

It's a Suspensions Unlimited SandPro 1. It's a standard 410HP LS1 with a Mendi 2D. Hope it dunes as good as it looks sitting in my garage

well after my conversation today, I am not so sure about this weekend either, I guess the painter is too busy sniffing fumes to paint my car, I am really starting to get pissed off now.

I can only imagine your pain. Nothing quite so crappy as having a diamond in the rough, just out of your reach.
Hopefully, it'll be that much sweeter when you finally take possession.

Me too

Last pic I saw of it I figured it would be done by now. Looked almost complete in the last pic I saw even though it was a front view.

I feel your pain, and hopefully it will be done before the season is.

Congrats...sweeting looking car. That black grey color looks clean.
By the way, what type of tires are those on the back and which rims are those? My car is gong to be done next month and I wanted to buy the tires to make the rear end smaller to get it in my toyhauler. The rear opening is about 94-95 " and my car is going to be 97". Thanks for any help.

Hey IAn if it is not too late to bag the painter. I have a painter in SDiego area that is the best artist you ever met!! he has been painting custom Harleys and stuff with airbrush. He is also a great grapghic designer. Does all the Terrafirma moto film stuff and is CHOMPING at the bit to paint someones rail. It will be whatever you want at a fraction of the cost of NASH FX. He is trying to get his name out there for painting rails. Let me know. If it were me Id bag the graphics to drive my new car!!!! Get the graphics done in the summer when the car is sitting for 6 months!!!

BROKEBROTHA: Thay are just a set of front tires off my baja to get it in and out of the trailer. The width with these on is 85". Stock VW ones work too I think. Doesn't really matter what they look like since it is just to transport the buggy..

Well I just wanted to give you an update on the painter, yes it is too late to switch, but I am on painter number 4 right now, the original guy was was going to do it quit, then it got sent to a subcontractor that the painter uses, then it came back cuz the guy had time to do it himself, then he didnt have time and lied about it, so now it is all in the subs hands that was going to be the #2 painter, the console is done, and he said he should be done with the sidepanels and wing by the end of this week, but I have heard that before. I just want my effing car!!!

We were out from about noon until 2 or so at Buttercup on saturday. Had to leave early becuase I hurt my back and my GF's back slamming my swing axle car into a nasty whoop I didn't see in the sun

We're feeling a lot better today - but we're both a LOT more interested in stepping up the priority on a better car now

We nice though, for the full time we were there it was more or less all duning. We did stop for some water once, to take photos once, and to help unstick a jeep once. But overall it was just dune dune dune quick trip!
Weather was beautiful...but the dunes were worse than I've seen them all year at Buttercup. More witches eyes than usual and lots of little 1-3' tall razor backs that were easy to miss. Had to be real carefull all day since things were a lot shaper than normal down there.
The colors were amazing this trip as well. The rains are really paying off and things are growing all over the place like mad. I let me GF have the camera this trip and she got some real nice shots. Once we finish retouching this one I think a lot of people will be wanting copies of it:

Remember - that's just a preview. We still have to finish matching the colors on it and the final is MUCH MUCH larger

HV, thanks for the hospitality, you've got a great group there. We hope to hook up again in the near future, as long as you don't mind if I bring Coobee.......
I think we'll have to practice our shoe throwing, Brian was clinking everything he threw.
