OBSESSED

Do you know this feeling also(?), I live with it day and night...at times like this, (close to the end of dune season)I usually look through all the dune club pix. Then I go out to my office (in my garage) and stare at my sand collection (sand from all the places I've been) then I look through my old pix then I stare at the walls (covered in sand pix and Night shots from years gone by) Sometimes my car will be near by in garage, sometimes I just start it for no reason, other times I just go out and sit in it.
Other times (when it's really bad) I open my jars of sand and pour some over my hands, and if that doesn't work, I sware, I got a flat large (big feet)tupperware bowl that I pour sand in and then I take my shoes off and just feel the sand under my feet...YEA...Sand wonderful sand...I need it, I gotta have it...YES I do!

I H A T E THE SAND!!!!!!
gets in your eyes, your a$$, your ears, teeth, fills the bed sheets, jams the air filter, in the socks, up the nose, in the rasta nappy sand hair, blows like a sand blast, gets under you butt while riding and dirties the ride up.
Dont get me wrong I love to ride on the smooth, soft, pure sand but I HATE it in me, on me, blowing or choppy from everyone elses tracks.
I dream of cool afternoons, virgin sand, and cuts so pure the roosts slice clean like icing on a sand cake. And I love the monster machines that can do this.

Makes me think of our last trip to the Wall before the closures. I remember walking about 30 feet up the face of the Wall, turning around and lying flat on my back on the face. I damn near cried, thinking if we don't win this fight that would be my last trip to the Wall. So I just layed there a while and tried to soak it all up, enjoying what is now one of my most cherished memories...and saddest too.

No, I was talking about the real Wall, as in hill 6...I still try to make it China Wall almost every trip...It's fun but not the same ride.
