SHOCKER
My friend wants to get his brother a bigger gas tank for his banshee. His banshee sucks down fuel. It makes it to olds, then he goes up the hil a couple times, then he is cant ride except for the way back.

It really sucks and my friend wants to get him the best for less. He was looking at the IMS tanks. They go for $200 on rockymountainatv.com.

Is there a cheaper place to get them from? thx
TANK
look into the 5 gallon clark tank also, it maintains the stock look with the vent cutouts. cheapest place would most likely be rockymountain dude, and if there is a place cheaper it wouldnt be by much.

do you know anything about your friends banshee? could have a crappy carb setup its happend before many times.

bought mine at Cycle Parts West for $180 plus tax. its here in San Diego too. they will order it for you and it comes from IMS at that price. how youmight ask? hell if i know but i got mine for that price. you can chose your color when ordering.

you have 2 to chose from the 4.0 gal or the 5.6 gal for banshee. i got the 4.0 and most people on first look dont realize it. with the 4.0 you dont have to cut your fenders at all.

i love mine and will probably never go back to my stock tank. unless i sell my bike but not for many many years.

a pic of it...

I forget but he takes his bike somewher to get it worked on. He doesnt do any motor work. He has the new toomey t6's and he also has heads and filter of course. I dont know what else but it just sucks down gas.

I have seen the clarke tanks, but how much are they? and do they look out of place? and can you still use your front fenders?

I have a 5.6 gallon ims tank, i bought it for 129.99 on ebay, I even got the color I wanted. The guy I bought it from puts them on, on a regular basis, I looked for one but he doesn't have one on right now, I will dig up the guys id on ebay and post it, I did find one, its yellow, dont know if you have a color preference but here is the link

by the way, it is definitely a must have on a banshee, we did the pete's camp poker run this last october and i didn't have to gas up the whole trip, I think it was 65 miles and I still made it back to camp on reserve........
SHOCKER
I think my friend wants to get the blue instead of yellow, since his plastics are blue

4 gal IMS is the way to go. I've had both IMS tanks and the smaller one looks a hell of a lot better. Go on bluetraxx.com and throw out a post and either a dealer or a member will reply telling you where to get the best deal.

I like my IMS 5.6 gallon. I got it from Rocky Mountain for like $200, asking price was averaging $250 at most shops at the time. Cutting the fenders wasn't too hard, and I got a black tank with blue plastics...I like the look, others may not. In my world, it's no show, all go...and you can go a lot farther with an extra gallon and a half of fuel. icon_biggrin.gif

Find out what color he wants, I have a red 5.6 gallon IMS, It's used but in decent shape, can probably make him a deal.I bought a blue one to go with my new plastics. It sure is nice knowing your not going to run out of fuel, only did that once.
SHOCKER
