I'm thinking about buying an air brush kit to extend my creative palet...but I dont know the first thing about them...anyone have one? have books about airbrushing? or willing to sit down and give me a little training... maybe even let me borrow one for a week...I'd be willing to buy a used kit from someone if they dont use it anymore.
I'm pretty talented with the photoshop air brush and I think that it could cross over prety easy with some practice...
Thanks guys!

I have a badger. They seem to have a good reputation. Not that I embrace my feminine side or anything....

But if you wait until the sunday paper comes out...Michaels (the chick craft store) usually has 40-50 % off coupons in it. I would recommend buying a kit with some different adapters. I'm looking for a good cup brush for small detail work, but the suction feed set up I have now works good as long as I thin the paint out.

my better half prefers Badger to the others, she has probably 6 or 7, and has a couple others that I get to use, when I needed them....there are kits and books out there, the better book stores and Michaels.. Good luck and have fun...

I have 2 Badger airbrush's and I have to say I like them for the price I don't think you can go wrong with them. I would get a kit like others said and make sure you get a duel action and most of all make sure you have a clean and dry air supply.
Where are you at?
Here a tip for ya that worked for me. Practice on a piece of glass so after your done you can scrape it off and ready for more.

I use Iwata, the Eclipse would be a perfect starter for you its a dual action siphon feed I've used badgers and I think the Iwata by far is a better airbrush. I think they run around $100.Coast Airbrush in Anahiem can awnser any questions you have.

Joe's right Iwata are really nice. I don't know about the cost between the 2. I have been to Coast Airbrush many times and they are very helpful people.
What you could do is check around your area and see if any place gives lessons like Coast does or used to, before you spend the cash. Then if you really are into it then go for more the a beginner brush. Just a thought.
