I put a Yoshi head pipe and tip on the wifes 05 Z400 and took the snorkel lid and air box lid off and WOW what differance. My only concern is I'm not sure I like the idea running it with no lid. Hers a link to the Power Lid What are your thoughts on this deal?

I have the EHS racing cover. They have a replacement lid or a project one you modify your own lid.

ill bet if you went to kragen with the lid measurements you could pick up a k&n for a truck or car for $40 and find a way to mount it pretty easily

Does EHS have a web site?

make your own lid. Go to the fabric store, get some bridal vail material. cut a square hole in your lid. Get some stainless rivits, use aluminum or rigig plastic strips around the edge. I used a plastic clip board that I cut on the bandsaw. It will keep the sand out. If you run in water? who does in Socal, you might want to buy the outerwears lid and do the same thing. I pulled the plastic plug on the bottom of my air box so if I do get water in there it has somewhere to go. Fabric was like $5.00, rivits and washers like $3.00. clipboard was free. Took about an hour. Works great.

I just run no lid at all.

If you have an outwear cover on your filter now, why would you need one on your lid? ph34r.gif

Some people like the outerwears lid, it keeps the crud out of the airbox to begin with. In the dunes and dez out here, I really don't think there is much need for an outerwear lid or cover. It makes lots of difference to the guys that run in the water and mud back east. It is nice to not have an airbox full of sand though.
