You can try Fox Engine Works in Alpine, ask for Allen 619-445-1415. Tell him when you need it and see if he can do it in time.

Alba bored my wife's cylinder for her blaster the same day I dropped it off. Might want to call them, and see if they are busy.

Uh, I just built a 426 for my brother and the cylinders are not nikasil'd. Unless you have had it bored already, they should of bored it for you. This just adds to the BS I have been fed my Alba.

wht exactly is nikasiling? is it like chroming? well im trying to ask is it dipped into a liquid and it smooths out the cylinder? or what?
racers toy store would of been a cheap way to go, it cost like $35 or something like that to bore my cylinder, then $185 or so to nikasil and they bored my cylinder the same day i brought it in. Most of the time was nikasiling.
Oh and whoever told you that needs a kick in the hiney, you should go and complain about that person. Because it doesnt matter if its nikasiled or not. You can still bore it. My stock cylinder off my Z was bored out and then re-nikasiled.

Nikasil from what I understand just makes the cylinder walls very slippery but very tough. Not supposed to wear out as quick as a regular cylinder.

Did you even read what he said? he said it was cheaper to buy a new cylinder than to bore and renick it. If it is infact nikasil coated, then that may very well be true. According to you, it was $35 to bore, and $185 to renick yours. A brand new cylinder for my yfz, from Yamaha is $170. Therefore, what they told him could very well be true.
