Slappy, this past Saturday night I was at pad 2.5 on Gecko, snoozing in my sleeping bag on Mother G's soft sand (as I always do, no motorhome for me), and in the middle of the night I heard a pack of ??? howling, growling, barking, and generally having a loud time not far from us. My guess would be Coyotes. Do you agree? My understaning is that Foxes (not the female human kind) don't run in packs. And, if it was Coyotes that I heard, why don't we ever see them in the day time? It sounded like a lot of them. They must have dens they hide in during the day. Is that correct? I've never seen a Coyote or a Fox during the day (not at Glamis, but I have at other places), but several times I have heard them (one or the other?) during the night. Can you shed some light on this with your expertise?
Thanks,
Doug
