regards to the "HANDS ACROSS THE DUNES " ?

Yes I did, and I handed out quite a few at one of the sign-up booths.
That idea has kicked around for a while....if we could pull it off, not only would it show an alliance among the off-roaders/duners that visit the ISDRA, but it would be a huge media event (mega points for us)
Can you ee the CBD getting all their 'hikers' together to do this for the northern dunes?

They did this a couple of years back, it had a huge turnout, all 9 of them showed up, and they hiked through the central temp closed area, walking in circles so as to miss seeing the thrivering PMV plants.
Nobody else saw the flyers being handed out ???
They were about "HANDS ACROSS THE DUNES " ???
I got a flyer but it didn't have a date on it? That was the only flyer we got when we signed up. Wish we would have got a closure map as we got a ticket.

I didn't see any at the South Dunes Clean Up check points or lunch.
There may be a problem having Hands Across The Dunes when they're only at Glamis.

Well, I guess that depends on which dunes are being discussed.
Kelso? Umpqua? Dumont?
Hands Across the Dunes is a concept that can be grasped (pardon the pun) for any dune system.
While the north and the south dunes are all part of the ISDRA dune system, this flyer concentrates on the north dunes. But if you'd like to take the lead for the south dunes, let us know

You're right, it was undated... that flyer was just to give people a "head's up" and to get an idea how many would be interested.
And you are also right... it would have been fantastic for you to get a map of the closures when you got the ticket. Before giving a ticket would be even better but at the very least, the BLM and law enforcement from other agencies are dismissing their greatest opportunity for education.

Including the claim that they're distribuiting maps of the closures...though I've yet to meet anyone who has actually seen one being handed out at the dunes.
