I've been looking at Golf Carts for a few months. At one point I looked at the Rhino and Ranger, but at close to 10k I quickly ruled them out.

Today I looked at a ranger tm. it's two wheel drive and they are only 5700. so I started thinking along this line again.

Any thoughts????

kenny g has a 2wd ranger, it goes thru the dunes pretty good, cant go up big hills though since the engine in the 2wd is smaller than the 4wd. bambam bought a 4wd ranger recently, not sure if hes had it out to glamis yet.

Rhinos can be bought back east for 7K and shipped for $500. Out west its all supply and demand ,thats why they are 10k

Where can a guy buy one for 7k and have it shipped for $500? Can you give some more info?

I would imagine a Golf Carts are a hell of a lot lighter. More room for aftermarket stuff and upgrades with the cart too.

I just picked up an '05 Ranger, and I couldnt be happier. I got the 4WD unit, it has the 500cc engine. My main purpose for it is for around the property, so I needed something 4X4 with the load and towing capacity, it is absolutely perfect for my needs, it would put a golf cart to shame for what I am using it for, I looked hard at all the utility vehicles, if you have any ???'s about them, let me know if I can help.

These guys have the best deals that I have found on a Rhino. (Around $9200.00
OTD shipped to Phoenix) As far as the weight question my 97 club car is 750lbs
and the Rhino is 1049lbs. The Rhinos look pretty cool in the dunes. The golf
cart hardly gets out of its own way and is more of a cruiser.
