BaNsHeE350
those a-arms just collapsed
DannyG
Good excuse to upgrade.
Permagrin
He is aready in the process of getting new shocks and arms
Yamiboy
is he ok?

damn thats gotta suck. at least it was on stock suspension and not a new aftermarket setup.
Forced Overtime
How did he mess up his toe? He wasn't wearing boots?
RRon3
Damn, glad he's okay.

I can't believe those a-arms got so wadded up.
Permagrin
Im not sure if he was wearing his 8,s or not?
He rode the next day though.

LTDANIEL
Thats the third yfz that i've seen with the a-arms clolapeds or broken off, when they wreck.

That would suck
KingGlamis
Bummer. Those arms look like cardboard. blink.gif
Permagrin
they are way thin
bigbadKTM
boy glad he's ok, but yamahaha makes some quality parts huh? lol
Kevin
get some nice aftermarklet arms and shocks. you know he did it on purpose so he had an excuse to upgrade icon_wink.gif
Elsensei
wow. that's all i can say. wow. I've rolled, endo-ed, and flipped my quad a number of times (ncluding two days ago) and i've NEVER had any front-end damage.

yeah the YFZ is a light bike, but those pics make me think there's no "there" in there.

if that makes sense....
24v
Have to say I'd rather buy new a-arms than a new frame.
Chummin
Glad the guy is OK.. As for the bike.. ouch..

2 out of 3 of my friends that have YFZs have had the a arms break off, or bend to s*** in a wreck.

MrBudweiser
NICE....

Good to know yamaha is still making a quality product...lol
Desertdogs
Glad he is okay, but I see that the Yam-crap tradition lives on.

Had a Raptor, same thing happened to me (except for the toe) that thing couldn't handle being ridden hard at all.

Now for my TRX250R....that thing just keeps taking it and dishing it out. Can't wait for the next TRX!@!
Bronc-O-Boy11
Flipped my YFZ last fall like that at the track. Bent tye rod end, handle bars and bent rear sub-frame.
Went for a rip the other day and the darn Decompression plug blew out....limped the machine back into my shop, stocked the stove (was -25 below outside) then went to go move the quad into her spot in the shop grabbing the rear grab bar and BANG, the effing thing broke right off. 350lbs and now I know why.
STILL the baddest effin machine out there though!!! thumb.gif

Glad you buds OK!! headbang.gif
