Does anybody know or care to speculate the maximum total effective wattage I can use for front headlighting without having to go with a heavy duty stator on a banshee? How about a TRX250R.
Thanks,
'Bob
I believe you can only run 2 halogens on a stock banshee. Maybe 70 watts total?

I was thinking the stock lights were 35 watts each. I was asking because I would like upgrade to a set I picked up that are 50 watts each but don't want to have to upgrade the stator.

they can only reliably handel 60-70watts max if you run 35w. bulbs they may look like candles at low rpm's. To run that big of a light you need to upgrade the stator.

i asked about this before i upgraded my stator. you can safely run 4 35watt bulbs. but like drnh3 said at idol they wil be really low and will take alow more reving to brighten them.
i paid about $400 for my stator and lazor star style lights on my handle bars. i run 4 lights with no problem. i run 2 50watt ont he bars and 2 35 watt in the stock locations. its freakin bright as hell. i always have to lead the night rides.

So are you saying I can replace my two stock 35 watt headlights with two 50 watt lights without upgrading the stator?

I think two 35W is all you are going to get stock. You will burn up your stator with anything more.
I have two 85W floods in the stock locations, and two 35W pencil beams on the bar clamp. I went with a 260W stator.
Remember, you gotta run your ignition too, so give yourself some room to run.

Stock Banshee is 75 watts.
Stock 250R is 85 watts.
