What year 400 did the bikes start coming with elec start and reverse?

I thought reverse was new on the 2005. Electric start should have been there since the 1999 models. I think

Electric start all along and Reverse this year. They look just like the 450's now.

He could also buy the warrior, not as fast but stupid reliable and easy to drive. It was my wifes first quad and she drove it fine right from the start, manual clutch and all. Reverse came standard on just about every year I think

I own two and love them both, he should seriously consider one. If it is going to be his first bike it is one hell of a starter bike. If he is experienced then it gives him enough sportyness to make it fun. If he is looking used the market value on them is pretty damn stable so if he decides to turn it in a year or two he wont loose his ass.

I picked up my two for 3000. You just have to look really hard

Ours is a blast. It feels pretty light and it will wheelie at first thought. It also has quite enough power to make it through all but the fastest rides.

the problem is he's looking for a older bike with reverse... so the warrior might be better.
