Glamis, its more then sand. Close your eyes and think G L A M I S. Puts a smile on your face. Makes memories flash through your mind. Its the place that transitioned your Dad from a parental role to a friendship. Its the beer you shared with friends and family at boardmanville on a windy day. The conversations with people no longer here. Such as Mr "Boardman" himself.
Its the place of triumph.
The place of failure.
The place where you learned about yourself, about your friends. Peoples true colors.
Its the 3AM discussions around a camp fire, broke down somewhere between Olds and camp.
Its the last place you spent time with your best friend before he moved away.
Its where you made new friends.
Its where you got advice to fix that hic-up in your motor. And it worked!!!!
Its the drive out there. The conversations with your kids. Where you can be a person of your own opinion, not a dad, and let them see that.
Its where you realize how much your kids have grown.
Its where you realize your Pop may not be all that stupid.
Its the excitement of getting ready.
Its the drive to work a little longer, a little harder-to buy that item--for Glamis.
