I added a Trinity pipe and KnN kit wIth box but no lid

They told me at sea level the jets should be about 180 main 45 pilot but i mostly ride in elavation at around 1000 above sea level should i stay with 180 or go with a higher or lower main jet pimp.gif

TIA

OH and i got my bike back Finally i should have listened to some of you about pulling it out of that shop their workmanship seems to be good the their customer service and promises are horrible thefinger.gif thefinger.gif I WOULD NEVER TAKE MY BIKE BACK TO SIMI VALLEY CYCLES AGAIN thefinger.gif thefinger.gif angryfire.gif

Start with the 180 and check you plugs after first couple of rides, make adjustments as necessary, better safe than sorry. For the pilot, adjusting the air screw will usually make up for one size bigger or smaller. If the bike likes running with the air screw almost all the way in or all the way out, change the pilot accordingly. Just my $.02

sounds about right, if I remember my bros YFZ with an Alba pipe has either 178 or 175 mains and a 45 pilot with the air screw 2.5 turns out and the clip on the 4th slot on the NVQ needle.

exactly...

it depends on the needle you use! i did one with a complete jet kit from sparks...that quad ran spot on with that kit!

I will try the 180 jet it runs OK right now but feels like it chokes and needs fuel i currently have a 175 main but that was with no baffle no lid stock filter and ran good so i will bump to the 180 and see thanks guys OH and BTW i am running a stock needls on the # 6 or 5 position if i remember right

Thanx again

175 main, 45pilot, 4th clip on the ncvq needle. Don't mess with the stock needle, it is too lean on bottom end. Just go to the dealer and ask for an ncvq needle, or a yz dirtbike needle. The 180 main that trinity recommends is too rich. I am running a 180/50 combo on mine, and that is bored, cammed, etc etc.
