Was anyone else hit by the blatant fire and sudden outrage by the BLM Rangers at comp on saturday night? My buddies and I were down at comp having a good time when a crowd started to form around two guys who were arguing. No punches were thrown and within 5 minuted the crowd that had formed started to dispurse. Well the Rangers came in with there riot gear and paintball guns but there were not paint balls in those guns. When they fired them they filled the air with a horrible gas that made your eyes water and nose burn and choke. They were way out of line firing at anyone and everyone. My friend was standing there minding his own business and they shot him 3 times in the chest. What a bunch of useless Ass*&^** the BLM is. They did nothing but stir up what was the calmest crowd that I have seen at comp in a while to turn rowdy. They instigated everyhting. What a bunch of waste the BLM is and what a bunch of pusses those rangers were. **** on them all!!!!!

Well, you've just experienced CS gas my friend!!! Makes your eyes burn and water, nose burn and run and you can't breath. But, I think they might have been out of hand, but what I think they are trying to do is let people know to take them seriously. They'll have to overdo everything until people respect them again. Right, it might not give them the right kind of respect, but at least people will understand that if they screw up, they are getting into trouble!!! Sorry about your friend. What kind of paintball guns were they? I'll be sure to have mine there next trip!!

LOL... I don't know but I guarantee you on easter there will be people at comp with paintball guns firing back at them.

This is completely unacceptable. It's not the cops job to administer punishment. It's their job to make arrests.

Red, I wouldn't bring your gun if I were you. I'm pretty certain that firing a paintball at a cop is a felony and would get you some serious jail time with Bubba!

Nah they'd just shoot back for real with real bullets. Hence they are sharp enough to distinguish between a car driving 26mph and 25mph visually but cant tell the F'in difference between a purple or orange squirt gun and the real thing.

Well, I hate to sound wrong but, BRAVO to the cops. How many years have they been gettin poo-pooed on because they were out numbered? Long term I hope they fade back but for now, stand up and push back!! There are too many people acting like jerko-s to fellow riders, cops, the land, etc. While innocent people may get in the middle, overall, the cops need to crack a harsh belt to get people in line. I mean, a MURDER over Thanksgiving? A MURDER????? And campers being beat by a mob at Gecko? Whoaw, this is serious stuff. I used to pack a cooler when going on a ride. Nowadays, ya gots to pack a weapon also. That really sucks... Keep up the GREAT WORK Law Dogs. I enjoyed Presidents Day, and your presence. My family felt safer, the camp grounds felt calmer, and i did not feel Micro-managed. I did my thing, and nobody bothered me.

note to self... bring gas mask to comp....

They are really good at enforcing the laws but the arent to good at following them, i saw an officer riding a quad with no helmet on at the drags on sunday

I'm all for the big bad belt being cracked over all the lame asses. We all have seen this comeing, and if you choose to put yourselves in harms way your going to get bit! You cant tell me that everyone hasn't seen the huge presence that the BLM has been trying to make. I for one, stay just out of reach of the big bad belt. I have made changes in my own way to insure I'm not a problem, or a statistic. I fill that true duners wont mind pulling in on there own reins a little tighter. Knowing that this will help weed out the nonduners!

I tell yah...when i saw the riot tank i grinned...when i saw the checkpoint for comp from the highway as i was driving to olds...i grinned...There was no drags for me this last trip and you know what thats ok cause instead my punk ass went riding...Like Crypto i've changed my duning pattern just a bit to keep my ass from being hog tied...and it hasent bothered me yet...

Anyway, CRACK that big bad belt. In the "sermon" someone brought up Mardi Gras and how good the cops keep control. That's because for a long time, AS SOON as someone got out of hand, like 4 or 5 cops were all over them and they were going to jail. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. That's what the Rangers need to do.

I've changed my duning patterns too. Heck, Saturday we didn't even take beer to China Wall.

More power to them. An from what I hear, it was Imperial Co SO who used em. Most folks who know the dunes and what is goin on in the last few years now what to avoid and where to avoid it. All of us who want to be there and use G for our enjoyment....we'll have to put up with some strict enforcement for a while...once the folks that want to act like an idiot get the message, we'll win. It's not a perfect solution at all, but it is about time that something is done!
