Anyone headed to Superstition this coming weekend? Anyone seen the conditions in that area in their comings and goings from Glamis? Sure hope Wheeler is passable.

dont know if its passable but if not you can always camp just past wheeler road. there is a farely decent spot right there about 1/4 to 1/2 mile past the wheeler road turnout. you can still get to sand dam and all the spots fromt here. any bike will make it without a problem with gas. youll know it when you see it. people camp there all the time so i know its not off limits.
have fun be careful. ill be at gordon's well this weekend.
hope you find sand dam!

Did a day trip to this spot today. Some fun riding and did a nice ride to Superstition which was almost empty.

I was out the 26 & 27th. Great weekend, no rain! Got some picts, just haven't had time to look at them yet. Not very crowded, Blue Angels showed up Saturday afternoon again, great flying.
They're making a movie out there, some action military flick. They were busy Saturday night filming and burning stuff up.

Yeah, found Sand Dam. Wheeler wasn't bad, that's most likely because the film company making the movie out there didn't want any hassles and graded it early.
The sand was still kind of heavy on Saturday, but on Sunday it seems looser, it was much hotter Sunday, so I'm sure it dried out. A lot of areas were choppy, full of tracks no wind the smooth things out.

Here are some pictures, two of Sand Dam and one of the Blue Angels.

The dam picts give you an idea of how the sand was (Saturday) kind of heavy.
