The Arizona Daily Sun in Flagstaff reported that a Flagstaff high school boy was killed in an "ATV accident in the Southern Calif. sand Dunes" on Presidents day. This was the info in the obit. section. I have searched but can find nothing else. Has anyone heard anything about this icon_sad.gif

No, but 1 of the people in my group , saw a bad accident of sand highway, going to vendors row. Quad and a buggie. He said the young person was laying real still and that when he went by the ranger station, he had to tell them about it and then
they left to see.... damn I hope your information is wrong.

There were two fatalaties over the President's Day weekend and one was a boy at Ogilby. I don't have any other information at this time, on either tragedy, but I have asked and will post as much as I am given.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to those families and friends involved in these incidents.

I am very saddened to share that the young man killed near Olgby was a 16 year old, VERY nice young man named Seth. He and his father, and brother, have camped next to us the last two times we were at the dunes. This young man was active in his church fellowship, and had done some mission work in Chili with his youth group. He and his father (Matthew), and brother (Adam) were new to the sport. I have not met his mother (Susan) yet, but the members of the family are very very nice people. Seth will be laid to rest tomorrow (Saturday) in Flagstaff. Please send your thoughts and prayers out to Seth, his family, and friends. Anyone who cares to may make a contribution to a memorial fund in Seth's name. The info is as follows:

Thanks for sharing that Judy. Me and my family hope that the family and friends
of this young man find PEACE.

I to have a 16 year old and that brings it closer to home. Not that the age matters.

May the family and friends know they are not alone. We share in their
grief. Prayers of strength are sent to help ease the painful days.

The days do pass.. it does get easier.. but we will never forget.

To our newest Glamis Angel- Garrett will show you the way.

Loving memory Seth and Garrett.
