Earlier this weekend I was on my way up to the Riverside area to meet up with some friends at the Orange Blossom Festival. On my way there I was on the 15n just past Fallbrook and I quickly approached what looked to be like an old ice cream truck, on the back two windows were two stickers I couldn't miss..One a GlamisDunes.com sticker and the other was a "Got Slappy?" sticker. My first reaction was to pick up my camera and snap a picture but because I was driving I figured that would prove to be disastrous so I laughed picked up my cell phone and called another GD.com enthusiast and told him of my findings, we had a good laugh and hung up. Anyhow, that made my day. I walked around all day meeting up with people I hadn't seen in a few years and told them my story. Of course it became redundant after about the 5th time but I couldn't help but think that was too cool. BTW the dude driving the Van had dark hair (looked in need of a hair cut..no offense because he obviously reads the site) and had a beard. If you read this post just wanted you to know you made my day!

One more little side story..I ventured back up to the Riverside area again today because I had a birthday party to go to up in Rancho Cucamonga, I stopped off at my grams house to pick her up and as we hopped on the 10e and headed to Vineyard St. I saw yet another got slappy sticker and one of those big window decals that said "SAVE GLAMIS". That sent me into story mode again and my grams being the cool chick she is got seriously ****ed off about the whole environmentalist issues and junk and told me to tell them to **** up and rope and take their crap some where else. She'd rock at a rally or something.

Was it a camper van? A dodge with a high topped roof? That might have been out Pastor VOR.

Hm..It was like brown in color and I think it had a high top on it. Right off the bat it reminded me of a Ice Cream truck.. The more I think about it, it may have been a camper van..I didn't really look at the Van as much as I did the stickers so I'm not sure of the make, I'm sure if I saw it again I would know it right away.

Red can appreciate this......cruisin in on the 210 last week and saw a large grn Ford F350 with a "Red Elvises" sticker on it....wondered, who be that???

I have a GOT SLAPPY? sticker on my trailer

And I to have seen a Red Elvies bumper sticker on the freeway, but it wasn't who you think you saw....mine was in Long Beach.

How to get a Got Slappy sticker?
Hmmm, not to difficult... Win a Slappy package will almost always get you a sticker or two... Sometimes we have them at the Gatherings and I'll even try to have a few stickers from time to time at the Taco Tuesday in San Diego.

If all else fails, Slappy tells me that he is definantly going to have a booth at the Sand Sport Super Show this year and I can almost gaurntee there will be stickers there.

Oh, If you wanted to purchase some GlamisDunes merchandise, like hats or shirts you could drop Slappy an e-mail and mention that you wouldn't mind a sticker or two. That might work too.

BTW: the Online "Dirt-E-Store" is currently off-line until it gets transfered over to the new owner. But Slappy can still take orders through e-mail if you have a burning desire for one of those HOT Glamisdunes.com beanie hats!

Yep, I was heading up to KennyG's up in the Elsinore/Parris area to do some work on my MANX. That was just about the time I was on the road.

Stickers are in the left/rear window in the lower left corner.

There is a SHIFTINGDUNES.com sticker in the right window, but it can be tough to see durring the day.

Was most likely me! You shoulda waved. People wave all the time and I figure it's the stickers on the back!

I drove past with a smile on my face hoping to get your attention. Slappy runs different contests for example caption contests and riddle me this. Who ever either has the best caption or answers the riddle correctly he will send you a slappy package, other times its if you post something really awesome like a poem or even just voiceing your opinion. Good Luck I haven't won yet, but then again I've never tried!
