Would throwing a set of raptor shocks(03) on a 97 warrior improve my ride quality at all. My warrior suspension is pretty harsh and Im just looking for an easy cheap upgrade. Im looking at a set of fronts for about 75, rear would run me about 100.00. I wont do it unless the concensus is that it is noticably better. Looking for something that wont beat me silly

Do they even mount up? I've never heard of anybody doing this. I would say that the Raptor suspension is better than the warriors. So if they do mount up, why not? I'm putting YFZ's fronts on my wifes Banshee as we're speaking.

are they are is spring tension,or rezziez?your not getting anymore travel out of them..i would wait a spend the right money in the right places..just my .02
TANK
i think the fronts are the same. just newer. the rear.....not so sure, the 01 raptor is a ressi while the 02 and after are piggy backs. so it may not fit in the space, but i would assume banshee shocks would fit on a warrior not raptor shocks. hmmmmm

i think your best mod is to save your money, sell your warrior and get a banshee. fastest mod you can do icon_smile.gif
Sirdunedevil
or just go buy a cheap set of works shocks...

My friend did that, i think it was a raptor, it may have been a banshee. all i know was that he said he hated it. he said it was worse that before.

the fronts mount right up. I have talked to a couple of people that have done it and they swear buy them for trail riding. I was hoping that someone on this board may have some experiance. The piggyback rear will require the air box to be cut so thats no big deal.

As for selling it, you will pull this quad from my cold dead hands before you see it go for a banshee. I love banshees and all but dont just ride the dunes, so a four stroker is a necesity. Now if it were a DS 650 we could talk

Since the weight difference between the two is great, I would think the raptor shocks (If they did mount up) would be very harsh on the warrior. The raptor is larger and water cooled while the warrior is smaller and air cooled. Big difference in weight. I wouldn't pay money to do it but if I could get ahold of a set to try, I might try it just for kicks.

AZDUNERAT
kept it stock, took the money and started my DS savings account. Im up to 850.00 and climbing, at this rate my X will be in my garage by october. I just started looking into the money I would be spending for a spare bike.

Im still trying to decide if I will sell it or just keep it. Im leaning towards keeping it as a spare for when friends come with us, the wife doesnt want another bike in the garage
