Clean bike, but with the new 450s out, tons of nice two strokes and 400 thumpers are kinda flooding the market. I think you might be a bit optimistic on the price...
I sold a 2003 400EX back in November when everyone was needing something for the season. It had a 426 piston, Stage 1 Hotcam, Duncan Fatboy 4, ITP rims with paddles, Nerfs, a set of Holeshot Knobbers and some other crap. Got 4000 for it. Your buds bike has a broken spring on a shock, might take the Cam out and no paddles? And the season is already into March.
Think he needs to at least add the paddles (this is Glamisdunes.com after all not
Plaster City or Painted Gorge.com).

i came in here just to post the exact same question. except mine is an '01, and comes with paddles, has basicly the same mods. Pipe, rev box, front and rear sand tires and knobbies, rebuilt clutch, bars, K&N, etc....

brand new 04's here in phoenix are selling for 4890.00 OTD, so that might be wishfull thinking

hes got a deal for an 2005 450r for about 3k so hes saving the paddles for that, stock shock on the bike, works included but have the busted spring, still dunno bout the cam tho...
so what do you guys think like $3,300?

nope they are 04. My cousin and brother in law just picked up a couple, With the paddles(itp) sixpack rack and wips they came to 5200 totall. Not bad if you ask me

i didnt know you could still get an 04. they are probably that cheap cuz they want to get rid of the suckers so the 400's with reverse can be stocked.
Well now that you told us what he's gonna pay for a new 450, I don't think he'll get a penny over 2800...

I bought my wife a 02 400 ex last year from the dealer for 3400.00..an old man owned it and they think he rode it twice..it looked like it. still has the stock tires with almost no signs of wear.
