Those of you who have an 87 Quadzilla with the 6 bolt head, what have you done to avoid blowing head gaskets? I used a Cometic gasket when I redid the top end last year and it just blew. Are the factory Suzuki gaskets better? I am also thinking of buying a cool head if it helps it out any. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Ya the aftermarket ones are cheep!.I got one trip out of my LT250 with a tusk gasket topend kit and it blew the head gasket the second day.Suzuki OEM head gaskets bin on there for 2 trip now and not one problem yet.Go with Trinity stage 5 head and drop down 2 cc on the dome size, this head has o-ring instead of a gasket .live and learn
Permagrin
Use the oem gasket and get the coolhead with the 62cc dome
I just blew my head gasket after 3 hard seasons
I put an all copper gasket on this time and I will wait and see?
I have another oem just in case.

That mod and a pipe and it will rip even more than it does now.

Who sells the copper gaskets? I've also thought about having the head O-ringed. I guess I'll see what happens with the OEM gasket and the stock head for now until I get more $$$.

You can get the COpper gaskets from Jeff Tudor at http://www.tudorsperformance.com

THey are ok, but do not work with the cool head.

Put the larger head studs in it and o-ring it, then use a stock head gasket and a cool head, you will never have a blown top end again.

5 years and would still be running if the crank didnt snap in 2!

If you need more info, email me.
