i think the 04 yfz is the best because its pure race and the didnt put a sissy seat on it. It's a racing bike your ment to stand up not sit and ride.

yea, for stock its good, but far from pure race. It's a good start, but still 5-10 grand from being a pure race quad

A Laeger Hybrid or R is a REAL race quad

Topics like this are kind of stupid. There will always be people who disagree with you and it will turn into a big argument. The purpose of this forum is to ask questions like, "What is the best pipe for my bike", "How can I get more performance", ect. Not state, "The (insert bike of choice here) is the best, and anyone who thinks differntly is a pussie".

And if you mean second best then you are absoultly right.

Also, neither the YFZ 450 or the 450r are really pure race at stock. They are about 8 grand or more short of a pure race quad.

Here is the responce from www.trx450r.org about that:

You'd have to know our terrain and types of tracks around here. A lot of the flattrack/TT we have allows the use of MX tires due to the rock that's mixed in with our dirt. He does, however have a couple sets of American Racers for when the track calls for it.

The one you work hard to pay for with your own blood, sweat and tears be it a YFZ, TRX, LTZ, or 185s is the best. You appreciate what you have more when you work for it, not when it is given to you.

ANYWAYS.. Please post in the Truck/Jeep forum which is best Ford or Chevy or Dodge so I know what to buy. thanks

I'll make sure next time iam at the track not to sit sown going around corners,,standing up sounds like it might work better LOL...

Also, I don't know if it is just me, but standing up on the YZF450 makes me feel like a hunch back.

hopefully next season, I'm trying to save up enough time at work to take some good time off, been working 9.5 hour days for the past 6 months and saving the extra 1.5 hrs for days off in the future

My DS is the ultimate non-race quad because it has the softest seat made....I'm not even allowed to stand up while riding. It has a cutoff switch, if my arse comes off the seat the engine shuts off

......like a garden tractor

. Seat says made by Layz-boy. LOL
