they are pretty rare....I'm not sure what years they were out, but it was the late 80's. It was Kawis response for the Honda 250R....
similar setup....250 2-stroke, just doesnt have the chasis of an R

I thought they started making them in 87 but they where introduced in 86 and then stoped in 88 or 89 the 88 model was the fastest.
yeah they are 250 2-strokers they had power valves on them almost the same engin as the kx-250's.
I was wondering because I might be interested in buying it.for 1,600 aint to bad has trailer, padles.and says its in excelent condition.

Model years were 87-88.
The 88 was a better model & very fast.
Only 2 years in production

In 84 through 86 all Kawasaki made were three wheelers....that quad is an 87 or an 88. Not an 86. Now the fun part, I have been wrenching on my Tecate for years now and know it like the back of my hand. Watch the electrical system, those are the known weak spot.

I THINK I SAW 2 OF THEM LAST WEEKEND (THE THREE WHEELIERS) AND THEY COULD FLAT OUT MOVE ACROSS THE DUNES AND UP THE HILLS!!

That was the first motor with a powevalve. They are rare, and if you can find replacement parts to restore them(plastics are basically non existant) they can get going pretty quick. Just lose the white rims and you are set to go. Ha ha ha
