I have a 2003 Predator with a drop in K&N. I've experienced some sand coming in (small amount) in around the forward part of the filter. Enough of that it's history...

I'm looking for ideas of a new box or filter system. I'm running a Dyno Kit already. I want to increase HP and airflow. Anyone have a Predator that can give me ideas?

take the whole airbox off and put on a K&N cone filter, you will have to rejett again, the directions in the dynokit can tell you which jet to use.

Thanks. I surf there alot - good ideas but it seems there is a 100 different opinions. Where can I purchase a K&N cone around here? Also, did you add a crank filter and pre-filter for the cone?

Ask my dad Mark, he just bullet proofed our quads because sand got in my engine.

Thanks I'll call him tomorrow. I'm going to get what Tres and Bugsy recommended. I've seen Bugsy's set up and want to add the crank filter also, he's trying to find the PN.

I have an RU-1770 sitting around taht Im not using anymore... I switched to the Uni clamp on because the K&N was sucking sand..... havnt had any problems with the Uni sucking sand..... How soon do ya need it?

Bugsy, I thought I remember you saying (at G) your crank filter was a special order or you had problemns finding one, I may be off. Are they hard to find? I remember yours was just a small filter correct? And thank you BTW

Nah its nothing too special, you can actually find any cranck case breather for it. Juts swing by autozone I think that is 1/2" hose. they should be able to find somthing for you.
