Why is it that as soon as somebody buy's a 450 throw's a pipe on it then goes to Glamis for the first time ever and suddenly they have the fastest bike on the hill and there wasn't a banshee even close to catching them. "Even ones that look like yours couldn't keep up " is what I here " fully modded hill shooters" and "I was blowing there doors off" do thease people actully belive there own dribble cause I know they can't think Im buying what it is their selling.

agree that there's TONS of 450's out there now... and I'm on one of them (except the last 2 trips
) but a lot of it boils down to skill... last trip I had to the hill I was still 100% stock and eating up a bunch of'm ...not saying that I got skill, just that they had less than I do

A lightly modded banshee will get smoked by a 450 like mine or 24v's. And for the record, I have a pretty fast yfz, and 24v will smoke me. His bike is fast and he knows how to ride it.
But..There are some banshee's that will never be beaten. Just like some 250R's are fast. But now a days you need a lot to keep up with these 450's. Especially when they have as much work done to them as 24v's. And they don't have to have the +12 swinger, or the loud obnoxious drag pipes.
There will always be someone faster. That is just the nature of the game.

Exactly. I give up 100lbs, and 30cc's to him. Ha ha ha. When I want to really enjoy myself, I just put my 115lb brother on mine. That is some funny stuff right there.

Who is it we are talking about here? BTW, you will never hear me say I have the fastest bke at the hill. I am 1/2 tempted to build a banshee so I can move up the ladder a little bit actually.
I rode a 450 this weekend and beat my dad up the hill I need lots more power in my Zuki now. I have the need for speed.

I'm all for a thread that convinces you A-hole banshee riders to buy a new bike so you can keep up...whether it be true or not, for the plain and simple reason so I can get some sleep at night instead of hearing all the stone cold thugs..with all their raging skill...that ride their effin banshees in camp all night. Not rich, hate spending money, guess I be lacking the skills to dune, cause I love me some hill action.
The people that shoot the hill and pit race all day are fine by me. It means there are less poeple out in the dunes to deal with.
Just like Tres I'd much rather haul a$$ through the dunes than loop the hill all day/night. But it is fun to hang out there and watch the show for awhile. There is always some laughs to be had out at the hill. It's all fun!!! Damn, I need a sand fix right now.

Im not really a hill shooter kinda guy but,
I dont think you can "legally" compare a quad to a motorcycle. Bikes just have so much more suspention stock and are able to work the whoops a lot easier than a quad. Plus, quads have a lot more weight to carry up the hill. Just goes to show that motorcycles shall reign supreme over all ATV's. Just my .02

my buddy on a 450 wanted to race me on a flat dirt road with his 450 to my banshee... yeah he beat me but as soon as we hit the rough stuff i left him in the dust and smoked his ass cuz he cant ride the whoops or anything like that.

Woah, did you hit your head or something? I may be a biased Banshee rider, but I don't think the bikes are yesteryear POS's at all. Granted the YFZ has greatly advanced technology over the Banshee (which has not had a fundamental design change in years), but they are two different machines, and in MHO hard to draw parallels between. I'm not much of a hill shooter, I Built my Banshee to DUNE, and will soon do the same to a YFZ.
I thought they came out with 4 strokes for those who couldnt handle the raw power of the Banshee.....or maybe it was just my observation?

All i know is when my bike had cams and the gasket mod it hauled up the hill. Surely didnt hang with desertbound though, as he beat me everytime.
Olds is kind of boring now. I eman the last few trips we have gone to olds and i ended up sitting and watching the buggies go up. The quads get boring. Expecially going through 50 whoops up the dang hill. Id ratehr hit the dunes then the hill all day, IMO. But racing up the hill is pretty fun.
Oh and a raptor with a alba kit(pipe, filter, jets) is faster then a stock honda 450.
