It be time to play, and you know da Slapster just loooooove playin...Slap ain't had many riddles here lately, cuz he always ends up doin them all in da chat room...But it is time...Now Slap ain't gonna accept if you throw up 4 or 5 answers at once hoping that one may be right...Slap wants a confident try, SO GET YOSELF SOME [Big Grin]

Let's get sappy, start thinkin with Slappy,
time for a twist, so riddle me this:

Mr. Milkvetch became, the first step in the game,
but now it revolves around two...
And if we see, the disappearance of me,
they would lose 98% of their food...what am I?

But it could also be..
"sand food" (Pholisma sonorae) or
dune buckwheat (Eriogonum deserticola)

This one be just a bit tougher, but all you gots to do is peak through da lines, and da answer is right there...

Slap knows its tough, it can be kinda rough,
but if ya get down to it, you can get right through it...

Riddle #2:

The species that be, 22 we can see,
seeds of life can attest to the name...
It's even barbed, an aggressive stance,
like the bee, it is quite the same...What am I?

UH OH, Slap thinks somebody gonna be gettin reeeeaaaal close...

There be 22 species of this little snapper in da US. Now, apparently this little guy be da next step in da enviro attack to close down OHV areas...What this little ant does so well is feed Mr. Flat Tailed Horned Lizard, and Slap don't mean that he prepares a plate of grits for him, he IS the plate. 98% of Mr. Flat Tailed Horned Lizards diet is the Harvester Ant.....Speakin of preparin foods, Slap caught Mrs. McDuner attemptin to light da stove the other night. Slap had to tell her dat it was electric [Roll Eyes]

Anyways, the Harvester Ant collects and harvests seeds. So much dat he will harvest an area till all da seeds are gone, then move on...They will defend their turf aggressively, and some have a stinger dat will stay in you when da ant lets go, kinda like da bee stinger. And trip out on this one, da queen ant can live up to 30 years...MAAAAAAAN DAT BE A LONG TIME TO HANG OUT WITH A GIRL DAT CAN CHOMP YA...Hey, dat be soundin familiar...

Slappy highly encourage y'all to check out as much info as ya can about Mr. Harvester Ant and Mr. Flat Tailed Horned Lizard, they could play a major role in da future for us...The BLM and the Fish and Wildlife Services gots all kindsa good stuff on them...And of course, Slappy gonna be talkin quite a bit bout them to...
