He must be good if he can weld on stucco blink.gif
Sandvirgin
[attachmentid=19093]He bolted 4" round 1/4 " thick metal circles to the house icon_wink.gif Then welded the pipe to them.

Tron beat me to it... gonna be tough to powdercoat!

Doesn't look like much of a slope for runoff when it rains....

and I don't see any triangulation either, in case it runs into something.

Just messing around, looks great! icon_biggrin.gif

POWDER COAT, heck, Im going to chrome it! tongue.gif

I can hardly wait for some termites to sink their teeth into this thing!

The roof will not be waterproof but there is enough slope for run off should I ever put a waterproof cover on it.

My wife is the one who designed it, I told her about the triangulation but she insisted the engineering was sound. ph34r.gif

cool idea, wonder if it passes code?
Desertdogs
Where ya gonna mount the bypass shocks?

And will you run single or dual whips with that get-up?

Awesome job....you might just start a new trend there
Sandbooger
That is a very cool Idea. What are you going to put up top for shade? Maybe some stailess perf or diamond plate icon_biggrin.gif

Sure it passed code, the inspector waved when he drove by the other day. bandit.gif

As of today the cover will be mesh tied on with bungie cords, Tomorrow it may be 2x4's spaced apart. I just dont know yet.

If any of you people weld you can imagine how hard it was to weld in the wind today. angryfire.gif With the help of my wife holding an umbrella to block the wind I did get it done. icon_biggrin.gif
ROLLER
That is pretty ballsey welding in the rain. Looks good.

Very nice! The stars are a nice touch and as I said when I saw it I love that paint.

BTW - thanks again for the Bike both of you! Amy and I have been cruising it every night we get a chance and have already had several offers from people who want to buy it from us icon_biggrin.gif I did put some new tires and tubes on it but I think it's going to help both of us get back into somewhat better shape this summer!

It is good to hear you are getting some use out of that tandem, it was rusting away here in Carlsbad.
You can find the grips for the rear handle bars on Ebay.

Yep, in fact some friends of ours went out and got a tandem of their own off ebay they were so hyped about ours icon_biggrin.gif

I got some temporary grips at WallMart for $5 until I get around to ordering the proper ones off ebay. They're cheap enough but I wanted some NOW and didn't feel like waiting to have them shipped to me icon_biggrin.gif
