MY wife has a 2001 Yamaha Blaster. It is leaking oil from the front of the bike and covers her left boot when she rides. I have taken the bike apart and cannot find the source of the leak. Does any one have any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks

It might be the exhaust oil from the pipe where it connects to the engine.hope this helps you headbang.gif

try putting some high temp silicon on the inside of the pipe where it connects to the engine.
SHOCKER
Yeah most likely from the pipe. It shouldnt spray though.

the only reason it get on her boots is when she is rideing and the rpms go up it spray a little oil out and the wind catches it and throws it on her boots.

I will give that a try. The oil is coming out in large amounts. after a 15 min. ride the frint left frame, L.S. of engine and her left boot had alot of oil on them. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Check the trans oil. It could be spewing out of the overflow. My friends did the same thing. Look for the trans vent/overflow hose. See where it dumps out. Might be wrong oil, too full.

Ohh yeah I did'nt even think about that the blasters have the over flow tube that hanges over the left side of the engine(more towards the front)it might be that, the hose runs from the back of the engine, pull the hose out and cut it to run under the frame where the rest of the overflow tubes are.
