Mother G, you know I love you
Let me share why I love you so much
A bright sunrise, shadows on the dunes
A gentle breeze blows the smell of breakfast my way
Off in the distance I hear early morning duners
I wipe sand out of my eyes and stare off into the distance
I see the dunes calling my name
I fire the engine in my buggy
Oh such a sweet sound
Friends join in on the morning ceremony and start their toys
A ride is coming soon, my excitement level grows
First two, then four, soon ten toys are warmed up
We are going duning
WE are going duning!!!
Out of camp we putt, trying not to awaken those still watching reruns of eyelid TV
Once clear of camp, we put the hammer down
Roosting and dicing, carving and ripping
The sand is smooth, the air is crisp
We push on harder, these dunes are ours
Faster and faster, we get in a groove
Throwing huge roosts, and tasting the sand
Soon we're at Olds, but we don't stop
There are bowls nearby, calling our names
Ripping and shredding, fast as we can
One dune to the next, we're floating on sand
Next thing I know, we're at Brawley Slide
Then Lizard Hill, China, and all inbetween
Engines roaring to max rpm
We dune and we dune and we dune
Life could not be better
Suddenly the ride stops high atop a massive dune
We line up along the ridge of this monster pile of sand
Engines off, we step onto the sand and take a breather
The view from here is amazing
Miles of sand dunes all around us
Picture perfect
It warms the hearts of all of us
Are we in Heaven?
No
We're just visiting Mother G again
We love you Mother G
OK, Slap's alright now...
