I was checking out this buggy while I was at the Coolspot at G. the owner walked up while I was checkin it out so I asked him what kind of buggy it was and he said it was a Metal works buggys. So I was just wondering if they have a website or something . The buggy that I was looking at looked pretty beefy so anyway does anybody have Pic's or a website to check them out ??? Thanks thumb.gif

Thats an SV 16 from Sandwinder. Could it have been Metal Craft? They are located up north.

you might be thinking of a Get Bent Metal Works car. They had one car at the Phx. sand show and they passed out cards with their website on it, but the address on the card was wrong. Have never found out if they have a site or not

i thought it was the other SIDEwinder company (not db.com) that made the sv16?

Metalworks Motorsports 909-800-4377, mwm.com was there web site. The site no longer works. I got this from the July issue of sand sports. A picture of there car is on page 63 and the phone #, website, and addrress are on page 80 of that same issue..... Funny you should post this because I was trying to look up info on diffrent cars today. I had just found them in the mag before reading your post. There are 106 companies listed in this issue under the buyer's guide. I would say almost half of them have no websites. Another half of the ones that have sites either don't work our are out of bussines....

the car in the pic is not a Sandwinder ...probably a Sidewinder Offroad car....not DB.com

No thats not it . the car I saw was bare metal with aluminum sides and wing. no paint. I was impressed with the car and wanted to find more info on them.

I was wondering because I was talking to a guy once that told me about his car and said it was from Metal Works. Turns out that Mikes Metal Works and Sidewinder are in the same building. Not sure why he did not say it was a Sidewinder car. Sorry to hyjack your thread.

I saw a metal works car for sale on the board at Kartek. It was Silver or grey and red. Looked pretty cool, but I didn't like the nose, it looked too flat on the top IMO. Might check it out or look in the cycle trader, I think it was in there too.
