Got myself a Proflow setup with K & N filter and Outerwhere.

Need a lid?

The lid dosn't fit right now. Only the 2 back clamps can hold the cover down now.
MWBbanshee
Shouldn't need a lid just remember to jet accordingly

What jet size?
MWBbanshee
Every bike is differant .
BaNsHeE350
what quad and other mods would help too with the jetting
GenghisQuad
No mods.

Just the Proflow & Filter.

Just looking at the equation. Less retrictive on the intake side but just as retrictive on the pipe side (stock) = not much of a difference.

My Banshee runs a little rich with the stock setup and it seems to run the same with the new filter without lid.

Just don't know.

Anyone????

I would bump it up 2 mains and do a plug check. Might be a little rich, but better to start out rich than grenade.gif icon_biggrin.gif

some people like to keep their air lid on,(i for one) you need to modify the air lid slightly if you do plan to keep it on there.

A little pressure and I was able to get the lid on.

With the K&N and the lid on do I need a jet change?

I'll do a throttle chop and check the plugs.
MWBbanshee
Anything to change the amount of fuel/air ratio IE alltitude, pipes, air filter even piston size will effect your jetting on a 2-stroke even the weather is going to change it . With mine I can go out on Fri night and be dead on and Sun. morn Im runnin rich just from the dirty air cleaner.
I allways do a throttle chopp every morning before I go on a ride thumb.gif

And on that lid if you remove all the unneccasary plastic from the lid it might help close it without pressing hard should just sit on top icon_wink.gif

Thanks.

I didn't need to push very hard, just a little pressure.

I would like to keep the lid stock and be able to put the Uni back in when I go out to dirt riding areas. I hear Uni's are better with the dust ( checked the CT Racing site ).

I'll do the regular throttle chops. 2 Strokes wacko.gif

i run a k&n out at superstition (different dust compared to gordons or glamis) all i did was put an outwear on it. they sell them for k&n filters. doesnt do the job like a UNI would in fine dust but it doesnt cause you to re-jett each time you go out other places and have to put on the other filter..
