Just a heads up. I took my new Raptor in for warrenty repair. (its brand new). The rear brake caliper sheered off at the bolt, and my reverse was failing. The dude calls me up an said that Yamaha would only cover parts and not labor. (which he told me was $292.00. When I told him that was bull $...T and I was going to call them, he said he would try talking to them again "go to bat for me", he said. Five minutes later he calls back and says " I hooked you up, There going to take care of it". I still had to pay 85.00 for a bent shifter and clutch repair. Well I called Yamaha anyway I knew somthing was up. They told me they told DelAmo Motorsports they would cover it the first time! Oh, and they dident know anything about the reverse problem. And my reciept shows a one hour labor charge of $85.00 charged to Yamaha, not $292.00 that they wanted to charge me. plthumbsdown.gif thefinger.gif DelAmo Motorsports

I had a similar expierence with temecula motor sports. I took my brand new 450r in and explained it had no power and heard tapping noises in the engine. They call me to pick it up and want to charge me for adjusting the valves and I said it only has 6 hours on it warranty should cover it they then tried to tell me it was maitencance and I said not at 6 hours the owners manual doesnt even call for valve inspection till 200 hours they said it was 20 hours and I said i didnt even have 1/2 of that. they lowered the charge ot 35.00 i paid it and have never gone back either. I spent over 600.00 in their store for riding euipment and other things I will never shop there again and never have. i take my bike all the way to oceanside to a plac called herman tuning hes a straight shooter and keeps my bike running great!!

I got one for Del Amo Motorsports:

A friend of mine calls all over the place looking for a specific gasket for a DR650. Finally he finds one at Del Amo Motorsports! He is at work but needs this gasket in time for a trip leaving the next day. By the time he gets off work, they'll be closed. So he gets the time off work to run over to Del Amo and grab the gasket real quick. He gets to Del Amo and waits patiently while the parts guy and his buddy browse through the hop-up catelog commenting on all the cool items obvioulsy not looking for anything in particular while this guy stands there waiting for service! Finally, he gets the guy to assist him. Come to find out, they "though they had the gasket" but DONT!

Cute showroom, but Crappy crappy service. I'll never use them.

Try "79 South Motorsports" on 79 South in Temecula. Good experiences so far, kinda small but better than the large showroom type places.

At least they didn't BREAK your 6 pack rack and brake light with like AM RACING IN CHULA VISTA did! The fact that they sold me 2 swingarms that BROKE was pretty sweet too!

Dude DONT GET ME STARTED ON DEL CRAPPO MOTORSPORTS!!!!

all I can say it was the worst experience I ever had. They Lie, They Lie and THey Lie

I took my kids quad in for service. Nothing Major simple stuff that I did not want to work on. when I got the bike back it would not start. I took it back and they tried to charge me for the same thing they originally was going to clean. (The carb) when the tech pulled it apart in front of me the carb was still DIRTY!!!!!!! I walked out of the service depot and marched over to the GM's office and they stopped me halfway and said, "we will refund you the money on the bike service" THey more creditted me the money. So since I had a credit, I figured that they should work on my banshee. (Well I figured you did me wrong once, you will probaly redeem yourself) WRONG! My bike was bogging and I knew the bike needed to be rejetted. I asked them to do so and told me it was the stator, the CDI box and that it could not be the carb. when I proved them wrong in front of their service manager I told them politely to eff off and I took my bike to someone else.

I guess when you dont know much about bikes you get taken really bad by these lamoes.... the final credit I had I bought some stuff from their floor.

Never AGAIN will I ever go there. angryfire.gif angryfire.gif thefinger.gif thefinger.gif

I agree, but for warranty issues, you shouldn't have to deal with this cripe. When they're trying to sell you the bike, they'll go on and on about hastle free warranty and whatever else sounds good to make the sale.

don't these idiots get it, people that ride talk to people that ride. eventually they will run out of new people to screw and word will get around. i will go completely out of my way to go to a business that treats me fairly, and i tell everyone i know about lying dirtbags. i've learned that if you make a mistake on a job sometimes you have to eat it, leaving your customers with a warm fuzzy feeling get's you more work, and benefits you in the long run. i'm suprised there is not a section on this site for "places to go and places to stay away from". actually i guess this is it, stay away from: WORKS PERFORMANCE in SIMI VALLEY.
