i am trying to start a web sight for the sand dunes in northern colorado ( walden ). i went riding yesterday and was really disgusted with all the trash and beer cans and bottles!!! i know like most of u is no one wants to get a flat tire from a bottle and ruin your paddle tire on anything. but if i can get a web sight started and hopfully get enough members i can orginze some clean up days and maby have the blm bring a dumpster for thoes days. i am pritty sure i can get sponsers to help with the cost of the web sight. well local bike shops ect. but im not sure where to go to start the sight? servers? im calling the blm tomorow and hopfully they will work with me to get clean ups started if i can get enough people involved. but really any info would be great to help me get this started. i dont want to lose my only sand dunes close to me because of messy people.

thank u dan

A website helps, but isn't the most important thing. Make up some flyers and post them at local shops. Pick a date for the cleanup, and get people rolling. Make sure you coordinate with the BLM folks.

Good luck!

You might want to check out the forums at dunereview.com. Lots of people from colorado, utah and wyoming on that site and some pretty web savvy people also.

Also, post about your cleanups over there and I am sure many will get involved.

Good luck

danno, I'm sure we can include a forum for Walden Dunes on the ASA Bulletin Board. Several other dune areas have forums on our site now. Shoot me an email to serve a request and I'll see what can be done to help out.

Take a look here. ASA Bulletin Board
