Has anyone ever been to a steep and long(not as long as china or anything) hill at Buttercup that is way in the dunes on the south side? We try to take a ride out there every trip, and it is a long ride with a lot of virgin sand and a few big bowls. We usually camp at Midway then head straight out along the edge of the south dunes. You keep going for a long time, until you are deep in Mexico and you can see the farm fields of Mexico. It is in a hidden valley and there are a few nice hills there, but watch out if you have to downshift user posted image! Does anyone else know of any out of the way hills at Buttercup? A family friend who has been going to Buttercup for 35 years swears there is one somewhere on the north edge of the dunes, but he can't find it anymore.

I don't know of any steep hills on the north side of the dunes.

Directions are off, the hill is on the west side of the dunes. The one I am looking for is on the east side of the dunes. I am not good with directions(N,S,E,W), that is why I don't lead too much user posted image.

The only steep hills I can think that are on the west side are the bowls. I camp down by the plank road and near the border. There might be some tall dunes if you go down into Mexico but I try to stay away. I don't need the mexicans chasing me!

There is one on the east side, faces south east, and it's past the second valley south. Just north and east of the Mexican Blowhole. At this hill, you are on the egde of the flats and near the big canal.
