We will be going out to B-Cup for the first trip of the season. It will be a small group since most have opted for more politically correct sports. Nov 1,2,3,
If you see a Rexhal Mtr Home, 400ex and a couple of buggies stop by. Am looking for more duners (sort of family oriented) from the San Dog area.

Houndxdog & SLowfatguy, when are you headed out? I'll be there Thursday night around 7. Camping in the west end about 200 yards off the road past the trees.

I'm still not sure if we're heading to Glamis or Buttercup this weekend. I'm leaning towards Buttercup though since I don't feel like the extra 30 minutes of driving

We will also be headin out on Thursday around 1-2 PM from PHX. We will be staying in the front near the big power line tower. I'll be in a Tatum long travel car, no paint, with a turbo Subaru. If you see us wave me down.

rgordonfan you weren't out there on a thursday a few weeks ago were you? Someone in an unpainted tatum car with a turbo subaru stopped and talked with our group out in one of the bigger bowls at buttercup.
The subaru first made a slow test pass across the bowl, then came back and hit it at speed launching off the lip and scaring the heck out of us! We were afraid we'd have to go do some rescue work. But the tatum managed to suck it up and he pulled over by us to let his pasengers recover from the ride
Just wondering if it was you since the car sounds familiar.

jhitesma,
NO that wasn't me. I just got my car running a couple of weeks ago and this will be it's maiden voyage to the dunes. Hope to see you there.

Sadly it's looking like unless you're there sunday afternoon I'll miss you. I discovered a major problem with my truck today (it won't start) and if it's what I suspect/hope (timing chain) I'll be elbow deep in Dodge friday night and most of saturday

I got the new wheels and mounted the paddles on Monday, but can't make it out there to try 'em until Friday night at earliest.

LoBuck, what engine do you have in that thing?? Judging bythe one engine pic I see, I'd say V6. Looks pretty burly for a 6 though!!

Shane-o, It is a V6. Buick 225 Dauntless. Pretty stout engine. Puts out quite a bit of Juice for its size. I've got little to no compliants about the way it performs.

Jason..
Whats your deal with starters!
![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
I get the impression there is not a starter out there that likes you at all.
Hope you can get it fixed..

As long as my vehicles start they work great - just some of them it's a bit hit or miss what will happen when you turn the key or press that button
The truck is running! Turns out it was my new distribuitor cap and rotor. El Golfo did a number on them. The other old cap had survived several El Golfo trips and still looked almost new. So I tossed it back on and the truck fired up instantly. Wish I had pulled the cap sooner, but I saw spark and assumed it was fine. It was when I went to see if there was slop between the rotor and the crank (which took two people due to location and today was the first time I could get help) that I poped the cap and we saw the problem.
It's sounding better than it has in awhile too - that cap must have been nasty for some time. Just can't figure out where it got so wet from in the first place.
