I guess you would call this the big brother car since Don calls his smaller wheel base car’s the little brother. I would not call the little brother car little, it is just a smaller wheel base. There is nothing little about them they are one tough car.

Maybe,but I am not counting on it.
We should have some rough sketches of the art work soon.
As soon as the panels get powder coated they will be going over for paint.The paint theme will be R rated.

No, I am not sure where Don had it done.

I was thinking that when you droped it off at the powder coat place they did it all, is there a reason why he had it done sooner, maybe its cheaper, or maybe it exposes the welds so they can double check everything?

If we hadn’t already picked a color I would have gone with the new titanium blue. I hope this color comes out as bitchen looking as I think it will.


The wife and I are getting pretty excited it is really starting to come together.
We are going by today to drop off a BIG check to Don, you know these builders want money to buld a car, go figure.Then we are going over to the graphics painter. The art work is just about done we just need to go over it all and make a final decision. When the panels come back from powder coat they will go over to the painter.

Yes there should be a few cars to take pictures of. Mine will be back from powder next week and it should be coming together pretty quick. Don seems to always have a few cars being built and a few he is doing upgrades on. If you are going over to just take pictures Don has no problem with people wandering around and looking at his cars but don’t expect him to hang around and walk (wheel) around with you. That’s just the way he is don’t be offended.

The art work is just about done we should be getting the panels over to the painters Tuesday next week.
Not to sure how long that will take but I hope it won’t be to long.
My wife and I are getting antsy but I don’t want to be pushy and have it rushed and not come out looking good.

As far as the motor I went with the other company you know who. I am WAAAAYYYY over budget so I could not step up to a Redline (Mama’s graphics are killing me). The SCU car at the sand car challenge is running the same motor I am going to run. It looked pretty tough to me.

Comphill- What color did you end up going with on the panels. I saw a sample of that titanium blue and it looks bitchen. I wish the color was available when I picked the color of my beadlocks & springs.

I'm heading over there tomorrow to pick up my car so I'll take some more pics of your car. I know Mikey would like that.

Stoker,we went with silver metallic base with the blue candy over it.
The color is close to the titanium blue.The titanium blue would have looked good on your car,
that's ok run it for a season and have it re powder coated its only money
I still really like the color of your car,I didn't have much choice on mine the color and paint was pretty much my wife’s department.
I may be by some time today as well.
