Never been but I want to try it since it's the quickest drive for me. Friends who have camped there said it's quiet and friendly but a LONG drive through the desert before you hit dunes. And the dunes are really soft on that side.

they freakin closed the real soft ones but there is still penty of fresh sand . the road through the desert isn't that bad plenty of motorhomes get in but very quiet and not that far to test hill via sand hyway my banshee /w/ stock tank can make it run the hill for awhile and make it back to camp. our group likes it for the quiet and the emptyness .they don't have't to worry about there kids getting run over by loose cannons.

My landlord was telling me about one time he was heading towards the Ogilby camp from Patton Valley. He said he was doing about 40-50 across a relatively flat smooth area when suddenly he noticed his motor started bogging. He looked down and realized that he had sunk down to where his floorboards where scraping across the top of the sand it was so soft!
He's been scared to go any further east than Patton valley ever since

seen stuck at ogilby the only complaint ive heard is the baby dunes on that side there kinda long and are full of crashes .i think its nice to get that first crash out of the way early then you can realy enjoy yourself then . the way we run through there is like one big moto-x track .oh yea !!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are looking a going to ogilby the 27th - 28th
If any of you have ANY data such as maps, where to camp etc I would GREATLY appreciate it. We have a bunch of people coming from Az and SD. Hopefully we can find a great place to camp.

it has to be the easyest place to find just turn before the rr tracks and fallow the telco poles to the tower ,at night it makes finding camp real nice . the pay station is right ther as you enter the camping area . from that main road everyone is pretty easy to find .

It's a LOOOOOOONG ride into the dunes from Ogilby, your butt hurts by the time you get there
But it is a nice quiet place to camp though(except on big weekends it is pretty dusty)
