Glenn and I have been talking about this and I'm wondering what eveyrone else thinks. It seems like the best way to grow this would be to set a schedule and stick to it and I think we've come up with something flexible that should work well.

The idea is this:

First Tuesday of every month - Tuesday Trivia at Famous Sams.

Last Friday of every month - Friday BBQ at various locations.

We've had a couple of local shops express an interest in hosting events and that's why we're thinking about the Friday BBQ's - they'd be held in parks or at shops depending on who wants to host them. And since they're friday evening we're hoping that people coming in from the east to visit the dunes may be able to stop in and say hi while they're on their way.

We're also putting together a website to keep everyone informed and should have it launched next week some time. More news on that coming soon!

Jason, I don't know why I didn't see this before, but if we made it the 2nd Tuesday and the last Friday of each month YumaDuner Dinner should land about every 2 weeks.

Anybody want to try and get together next week? Any day but Tuesday should be good for me. Thursday?

I'm hoping my schedule will settle down a bit by mid-March so I can make some plans outside of work.

The website will be very cool!

Glenn.

Good point Glenn, sounds good by me.

And I'm up for getting together next week - espically after having the last Duner Diner all by myself and with no Dinner because I was broke [Frown]

Thought I saw a link to Yuma duners already somewhere! The Friday thing appeals to me if it's kept KID friendly!

BTW: Met Aaron (madweazl) in the dunes last weekend and didn't know it til after the fact!

Yep, that's the other benefit of the friday BBQ - it will be a more kid friendly atmosphere in parks or at sponsoring shops.

Glenn setup a temporary page for YumaDuners and has a link to it in his signature on the ASA site. We're really hyped about the new site and as soon as the DNS changes go through we'll be announcing it.

Next Yuma Duner Dinner will be help on Friday February 28th. Location is still up in the air but we're leaning towards Cretines for some Mexican food this time. For details check out the new YumaDuners.com website.

Ok - just went to add this to the announcement area at the top of the forum and realized that it's the same date that the First Annual South dunes gathering is starting!

So how about instead of holding a Duner Diner on the 28th. We have a BBQ at Gordon's to kick off the Gathering!
