This weekend I heard of some guys saying that there was a way to get across to Buttercup from Gordon's Well. Is this true? If so, where is this. If there is it would help us out a lot cuz all the family is camping at Buttercup but we are all going to camp at Gordon's so we need to be able to get across during the day. Any help?

This is true. From Gordons just cross over Interstate 8 on the Gordons exit overpass.Be careful because you'll be sharing the road with motorhomes, cars, etc. that are going to Gordons. Once you cross the freeway keep going straight. You'll see another bridge going over the canal. Just cross that and head East. Very easy to figure it out. [Smile]

OH thats the only way? Cuz i heard there was another overpass that you could get across cuz i dont want to ruin my paddles going across the asphalt overpass. boo hoo:(
Rubberneck
Your paddles won't get ruined. Just don't haul ass across the asphalt. I've done it plenty of times and never hurt my paddles.

I've torn my paddles just riding around the flats. Im using the sand sharks right now and i have a set of skat tracks. The skat tracks get little pieces missing from the flats. How many psi should I run them at? Cuz I've kinda noticed they hook up better with less air in em.
Poiks
I ran my paddles at the same recommended pressure as the stock knobbies--about 4psi on a 400EX.

thanks

If you cross it at 5th gear pinned your paddles will be fine.. You'll be going so fast you'll just travel across the tops of them.. [Big Grin]

I used to go about 30mph in my buggy crossing the bridge. I had a tingling sensation when I got to the other side. [Eek!] [Big Grin]
JSYI
is this going over them in 5th pinned a joke or serious? Cuz i was kinda figuring to just tippy toe my quad over.

If you're really anal about protecting your paddles and are a great driver the best option is going backwards [Smile]

Little tough on a quad though!
JSYI
anal sounds nice. any takers? girls where are ya. [Big Grin] Well I guess I'll just have to try the 5th pinned but i guess ill lean up on the bike. let my nuts rest on the tank [Wink]
Rubberneck
LOL! Don't go 5th pinned! If you just putt over the road you'll be fine. Just don't spin the tires! [Big Grin]

Gee I guess chummin wanted me to f up my paddles!!! haha

Here are the coordinates for the bridge (pick your preference):
32.705093* N 114.95728 W elevation 190.3'
-or-
32* 42.355' N 114* 57.436' W
-or-
32* 42' 21.34 N 114* 57' 26.20 W

These are just north and west of the bridge. There were 2 Border patrol Agents parked on the bridge, so I didn't stop on the middle to get the exact location. (You'll see what I mean on the map below)
