WIDE LOAD
I just wanted to share some photos of some of the pieces that are starting to show up for the new motor. KG is going to post them for me since I dont know what the hell I am doing in that arena. Thanks KG. thumb.gif The name MONSTA MOTA comes from the gentlemen that is doing the build. He owns Quest Racing on the east coast and builds lots of PRO MOD motors. His east coast accent is very heavy and he always says "THAT THING'S A MONSTA". Great guy! thumb.gif thumb.gif The valves you will see are titanium and I just recieved the connecting rods today from Oliver which are also titanium. This motor will have the same bob weight as a small block Winston Cup motor. I will see if I can get a photo of one of the rods to post. They are swweeeeet and weigh 68% less than the steel rods. I am starting to get jacked up just thinking about it. I hope you enjoy the photos. hello.gif

This is the last one that Kevin sent me. Looks great Kevin, you'll have to give me a ride when it is finished.
Josh @ DanZio
How about some specs.
Sandzilla
Billet pistons, roller cam bearing, titanium valves...Nice. thumb.gif From looking at the piston, it looks like it's gonna be some kind of long rod or strocker motor???.. The top ring is far on the slug too... Blower, turbo???...Details man, details!!! whip.gif

Kevin
cp makes some nice pistons. yeah was gonna say about the distance to the top ring, nitrous motor or alot of boost from a blower or turbo, or both!
KingGlamis
Kevin (Wide Load) told me it's going to be a 9:1 396BB with the rev limiter set to 5500. Oh, and a 390cfm Holley.

Did I get it right Kevin? icon_biggrin.gif

That's what the engine builder told me. He said it should put down around 300HP to the rear wheels. icon_biggrin.gif Sorry Crowdog, I just couldn't resist.

Actually, it's going to be a 588 cubic inch roller motor. It will be dry sumped and use a pump made in Sweden that creates enough positive vacuum that you dont even have to vent the engine. We will be using the BIG STUFF III fuel injection system which uses a six wire O2 sensor wideband system. The heads may be the trickest pieces. They are twelve degree PRO STOCK heads made by Reher Morrison. I'll fill you in on some more pieces as soon as I receive them. burnout.gif
KingGlamis
Yep, I tend to believe the 300rwhp claim. Or at least 295. icon_biggrin.gif
Josh @ DanZio
Sounds expensive. I'm gonna guess $50,000+ for the engine.

Wideload is in a league of his own. He doesnt need my help, his egine will probably be double the hp of my 450hp engine and maybey even more. My guess would be 1000 to 1100 hp.

Very nice Wideload and I cant wait to see that beast in Glamis thumb.gif

Thanks, I cant wait to get it done. I think about it constantly. It would be fun to hook up at Glamis when everyone has their projects done and go for a good ride. How is your project coming along? What is the completion date? It will be fun to see it when your done. Later burnout.gif

Titanium rods aren't cheap. I figure if you're springing for those, that everything else is top dollar as well. icon_wink.gif

LV, I'm afraid I went for the throat on this one. I kind of turned the engine builder loose to do what he thought was best. It has been a real education for me. I thought I wanted a Hogan intake until he talked me into a Wilson. I was completely unaware of who Wilson was up to then. Now my heads are at there shop getting an intake built to match them. Those guys do incredible work. As nice of an intake as I have ever seen. thumb.gif

Whatever happened to the monster motor that was in this car after it came out of Revenge?

Hey gritty, I still have the blown two seater that revenge built for me. It is a blast. I am taking it to Utah over the 4th of July to run up that Big Sand Mountain a few times. It is supposed to be 1100 feet tall and it is pretty steep. This new engine is for a new Racer Sandcar that Dale Dondale is putting together for me. It is a four seater. I have four sons and one daughter-in-law and they all love to ride. I needed some more seats. burnout.gif
gritty
Ohhh, I must have missed that somewhere. That Revenge car you have is something else. Can't wait to see your new car. Those Racer cars are definitely NICE! Good luck with the build, and keep up the pics! burnout.gif thumb.gif

Aluminum started this week. I am going down next week to finalize any last details. Dry sump tank was shipped today to be mounted ASAP. Just waiting on the intake from Wilson to complete the motor. Motor should be done in next two weeks, dynoed then shipped.
