CLUI is an intersting site that's been in my bookmark file for years. All sorts of odd and unusual stuff on there. I don't always agree with their editorial bent but it's still an interesting site.

BTW Darrin, I had someone ask me about the water fountian this weekend as well! Odd how that works out sometimes ain't it

Sorry BamBam it's gone. Has been for a couple of years. The BLM declared it a hazzard and required the "anonymous" club that put it out there to remove it.

It was located a little ways north of Patton Vally in what is now the closed area here are a few links about it:

HOW BOUT PUT A BASKIT BALL HOOP IN THE MIDDLEOF THE DUNE SO WE CAN SHOOOT SOME HOOPS OUT THERE,JUST AN IDEA.

There is a dial type meat thermometer duct taped to a piece of radiator hose out there somewhere in the soft stuff. I saw it once but it got away before I could pick it up.
That is some soft sand.

There are quite a few things out there.

The telephone pole (Just a pole in the middle of the dunes...good place for hoop maybe)

The pipes (old bombing targets)

The plane crash

The boxes

The fishtanks (Fiberglass water troughs put out by the BLM...one of them actually had fish at one time)

Just dig up a GPS list to find some of them.

Of course none of them are accessible right now thanks to the closures. Time to go attend some BLM meetings and help make a difference so someday we can go back to those places.

Realy there is a spring Scat and Ifly as well as others know where it at. Best to ask them to show you or ask via PM.

the water in the canal comes from the colorado river...
the spring is pretty cool.

the hot spring will be closed october to may. and only can be visited by private escort under the the full moon sky

Troll hut did look like that, actually that was after the arch was rebuilt. It had to be rebuilt after
someone destoyed it.

Our group found a natural spring in Baja one year..

Hot tub action galore, until the rancher showed up, asking why we were in his drinking water..

The spring......... never been there,my buddies have..........said it was great until a couple local fellas showed up, said hello boyz, dropped their drawers and starting making small talk, my friends said they had wore out there welcome and they packed up their bikes and split........said it was a nice place, probably just full of venerial deseases and things that shouldn't be....Beware travelers,enter at your own risk!
