My bro just talked to the guy. I guess they cost $975. Not sure if they work good. Just wandering if it is a new thing, or a few people have experience with them. Sounds like a good deal to make my 2D a sequential shifter.

Sorry, I've been off line for over a week. Major computer melt down.
I have a speedshift but car is not running yet. Price was 975. or so.
I talked to a guy at the gordens drags that had one and loved it. He said there were a few problems on the first units but upgrades fixed it. I am anxious to see how it works. If anyone has more info please pass it on.

Put one on my buggy about 1/2 way through last season. I haven't had any problems at all. I like how it shifts (very positive) on my mid-engine. I had the old style Jamar so anything was an improvement. One of the very best mods I did to the car. Made it much more enjoyable (easier) to drive. Let me know if you have any specific questions. OH and I did pay 975 like others mentioned.

Just thought I would revive this. I am looking into the AJ Speedshift and was wondering if anyone has any updated comments on it?
From what I understand, if converts the H pattern to a siqeuntial style, but you still use the clutch to shift or BOOM. I have a Fortin style Jamar shifter now and I cant get it to shift smoothly with my 2D.
I have also heard about the ASAP electric paddle shifter, but at $3K, too much for me!
Any info would be appreciated!!

I've been out 4 times with mine and have not missed a shift. It takes a little to get used to but I mlike it a lot. A friend just took his prouler shifter off and put on the AJ and likes it also

Have a bunch of time on mine now. Works flawlessly! It definetly still needs to be "clutched" but I don't miss any gears. Just have to remember that it is now a sequential style shifter. I have came out of second (hammer down) to hit third and shifted to first............ not good (old habits are hard to break). Completly operator error though!
