the hollow speedway engineering sway bars are available in different torsional stiffness (wall thickness) to adjust to different "needs" :

i like to power-slide sideways = stiff bar for minimal body roll.
Ryan , your more a "carving" type of driver = so i guess the softer bar will give you more "hook".

i guess we will change to a softer bar on yours when we upgrade to the new 2.5" front spindle and see what works better for you icon_wink.gif

That flat trackin looks like fun. Is that up around Prescott?

Ryan,

you may need to get rid of that shitty CMS wheels up front icon_biggrin.gif . With the right wheels you liked also the swaybar. I'm pretty sure that rim with the wrong offset is messing with you 25bangin.gif

Onanysunday, that track is 60 miles north of Prescott on our property icon_biggrin.gif

we will do a fun day out here with many miles of fun dirt roads .... but we need first a new shop car icon_biggrin.gif

KG, you guys use it in front ? icon_biggrin.gif

And yes they are on all our cars from day one.

Zilla,

We just play around with different stiffness. camcar has a very stiff bar and John likes it that way for the street use. I like the bars to run the hard transissions and razors of early season Dumont, doing sidehills for creazy lines and on dirt roads doing power slides.

No. I've driven our cars both with and without the sway bars. The ones without will actually lift the inside tire easier. With the rear sway bar the car stays flat enough in turns that the inside tire almost never gets to full droop.

Can this be an "add on" or does it have to be built into the frame?

we build the mount into a strong braced point of the frame right where the motor mount bracing/ A-arm mounts meet:

the sway bar adds a lot of stress into the frame...make sure you add the bar on a well braced area icon_wink.gif

thomas i like the idea of a sway bar it works really well (too good) .with the sway bar off now it grabs too hard in the rear. I need it to slide a little bit so i do need a sway bar but, just a really light wall thickness one. i will trade you guys for a light one when ever u want to. so when you go to order one for the shop car, get a light one and i will take it thanks icon_wink.gif
