My buddy is going to get a new frame. Ideally, he is looking for a sleek aftermaket one with a removeable sub frame. I see Lone Star makes one but their websits doesn't say much about it. Anywhere else? Big Company? Small shop? Money apparenly is much of an object for this guy.

Their is a guy that works at Cycle Parts West.....He has the sickest frame made from a local guy in SD..............the front a-arms cross over each other......and the back piviot points on the lower arm are pushed back twords the bottom end of the motor.........His bike is always there at CPW..........the travel is some ridicouls amount.........in the front and rear........

That would be Dean Sundahl. Even if someone could afford the chassis, I don't think Dean makes em to sell. I think there had been 3 or 4 of those cross over a arm chassis built and Dean was using one or two of em.

if your buddy's subframe is the only problem it can be cut off and have someone weld up mountings for a removable one of their own subframes for under 500 bucks. dont see much of an advantage of going aftermarket if he keeps the same geometery.

He's interested in that one subframe from the website you posted.
He's looking to go hardcore. Just doesn't know what to look for or what is even out there. I showed him the Sundahl frame last night.
He wants a Good Chromoly frame to hold up to big jumps.

that sucks. i bent mine last season and just got another frame since no one makes aftermarket atc frames anymore. either he'll have to have someone cut his off and straighten it if its that bad or replace completely. hopefully someone knows someone local that's cheaper. metal tech is pretty freaking cheap though. mp isnt bad either.
i got your travel, right here.

Doubt you can get the Dean frames anymore. plus these are more for going 100 through the desert while taking a nap.

And the Sundahl frames have body roll in the turns.
Here's my ultimate: Lone Star Outlaw chassis... EBay everything but the frame.
Add all Roll Design 250R suspension.

I wonder if he would build another one of those frames and how much it would cost?

Lobo chassis components maybe. A Lobo frame hasn't been built in c few years. Doug quit doing those a while ago.
