Well I havn't had much time to finish the design on the car since we signed up here. A good thing I for sure. icon_biggrin.gif But I made this quick little animation of the car. I hope to get lots of work done over the weekend. UPS delivered the new tubing bender today so we are pretty excited to get started.

That's a great tease, nice work. thumb.gif

Now, start by adding an exploded (not as in grenaded) view, showing how all the components go together icon_biggrin.gif

Shouldn't be too much work smokin.gif

I'm sure you guys are going to get sick of hearing about how cool the software is but that is practically a click of the button. But I may have assembled the car wrong in that when I click that button it will probably make a huge confusing mess. I will have some cool stuff to see later tonight. At least I hope it is.

That look really nice. I use to do stuff in 3D Studio Max to bad I never keep up on the version releases. 25bangin.gif

3D Studio is what I use to do the renderings. Kind of a pain because I have to go from SolidWorks to Mechancal Desktop to 3D Studio. But I like the results in the end.

I would like to put some updates of our car up but was this movie to big for you guys to download? Is there a magic number Mb wise I should stay under? I'm afraid if I make it too big nobody will want to watch it. Thanks again for your input.

That's great but where are the axles? tongue.gif

Can you make one jumping out of a huge dune?

The rear of the car still needs work. Took me a long time to get the front end to work "right". Took a lot of advice and read a lot of stuff on line and now that that is done I can work on the back.

Animating so it jumps from a huge dune would make for a huge file for sure. Not to mention the time involved. Maybe later. tongue.gif

Ugh... I can't view it. It says I need a new plug in. So I click on the thing to get a new plug in and it says "No plug in available." Sucks to be me I guess.

Sorry about that King. Wierd it's just an AVI. Nothing fancy. Not like the Dyno vid we have on the site. That thing is totally scetchy. I will figure it out eventually.

You could make it into a Mpeg and drop the size to about 1/3 or more:)
