sorry, but i just had to share these pictures i took of Bills mid engine today! the sheet metal work from the previous "incident" has been thrown in the trash! . now Aaron from Straightline is generously donating (not for free of course) his time and considerable ability and completly redoing the car! it already looks much better! i will put more pics up in my forum-thanks. by the way-this is the other mid-engine that made me term my other one "economy".

Looks really cool! I like the side-pods a lot.

This might sound like an odd question, but... Have you thought about sand getting into the side scoops? Is there a way for the sand to drain out?
