go here to hear a report that states that in the lower 48 states, the furthest you can get from a road is 20 mi.
I don't know about you, but the frontiersman in me would like to think that our county still has thousands of acres of untrod wilderness. I guess that time has passed without me even noticing it!

So I take it you don't travel much?
I'm glad those roads are there otherwise I wouldn't have a way to waste so much gas driving my SUV around...

Hey Bluesky,
Why don't you meet us all out at Glamis this weekend for the night ride. We'll take some places where there are no roads.

Bluesky,
You know you ought to make it out for a ride. These guys are going to keep giving you a bad time until you do. But then again, they also know that once you take your first dune ride you will be hooked and the next week you will be out buying yourself a sand toy.

Good, I won't have as far to walk in and find a cute little bunny whose skull I can crush with a bat.

Let me guess, you hike to work? Or you ride your bike to work? You must use some of those roads in the US to do your own travelling.
Have you flown in an airplane, taken a train, rode in a car? And I'm sure ALL the clothes you wear are not dyed and all cotton. How about that computer you use to post here, it can't be made of plastic because then you'd be supporting polluters.
Maybe you should let the frontiersman in you loose in the boonies. They BURN all their trash there. Heck, they must account for 1/3 of the hole in the Ozone!
You can't force your beliefs on everyone and you will not take our dunes!
